Guitar Teacher

Starting her musical journey at the age of 11 under the tutorage of acclaimed local musician Matt Bishop, Laura quickly took to guitar as her primary instrument, completing her Rock School examinations throughout her younger years. Being exposed to live performances from a young age,

Laura quickly took an interest in all areas of music, expanding her repertoire of instruments to bass and ukulele.

At Keele University her interests in a variety of musical styles from rock, prog and metal, to blue, jazz and neo soul were particularly nurtured, and through her musical compositions for short film projects she developed a taste for experimental arrangements and improvisation.

Laura’s teaching style in her three main instruments has catered towards students with both neurodiversity’s and physical impairments including ADHD, autism, deafness and tremors. Her flexible and encouraging teaching methods accommodate for all aspirations including graded exams,

theory and popular music. It’s Laura’s firm belief that anyone can play music, and provides a reassuring and friendly environment to explore.
