Lorna is a mezzo soprano based in the North West of England. She performs regularly in the chorus of Bergen National Opera and has also performed with Longborough Festival Opera. She performs as a soloist regularly in oratorios for choral societies, and has given recitals at the English Music Festival, Wye Valley Music, Rekstensamlingene in Bergen and the Leeds Lieder Composer’s Forum.

 

Lorna is an experienced ensemble singer, performing regularly with Kantos Chamber Choir, Jervaulx Singers and the Edvard Grieg Kor in Bergen. She recently performed at the BBC Proms 2023 with the Edvard Grieg Kor. Lorna studied under the tutelage of Jane Irwin at the Royal Northern College of Music, receiving a First Class BMus (Hons) degree and MMus degree with Distinction. She has experience of teaching all ages and abilities, and taking pupils through ABRSM exams.
