Katherine is a recent graduate of the RNCM, with her principal instruments being clarinet (in all forms!) and bassoon. She has been teaching for several years, with experience of teaching clarinet pupils from the very beginning to post-grade 8. She has a research specialism in music-making with people living with dementia, and currently is undertaking a funded PhD in this area in conjunction with Manchester Camerata, Manchester University and Salford Institute for Dementia, where she is in her first year.
Katherine specialises in the facilitation of community music sessions, having worked in numerous settings across the North West, including care homes, schools, hospitals and prisons. As a performer, Katherine specialises in Klezmer, contemporary and chamber performance.
